Another wall piece.

This piece was done for a cousin. The quilling was done using antique strips.

I ended up doing more butterflies...here are a couple more

Quilled cards

So from christmas to now i have been making cards - a lot of quilled ones and non quilled ones. Stamping and all fun stuff.
Here are some i have done.

Monogram J

The only monogram i have done. It was for a young lady Joan.
Put in all the colors that a little girl would like :)

Quilled Framed piece custom made

This is the biggest piece i have done 14 x 11 1/2 inches in dimensions.

Another exploding card with quilled flowers

I just love this card. Usually quilled flowers on cards don't show much dimension - but this box card takes it to another level. Its actually very small, though the pictures may lead you to believe otherwise. Its a regular A2 card ( 51/2 X 4 1/4) that can easily be posted.
I added leaves using Martha Stewards Leaf punch along with the quilled flowers.
So its a bit fuller than the last card i made. That seemed to give it what it was lacking.
I have one more in blue to do which i will upload as well.
I just love how delicate and colorful it looks. Very happy with this bundle of flowers!
Here are some pictures

Here is the same thing with blue flowers.

Quilled flowers pop up card

So for my son's Teacher appreciation week at school, i decided to make cards. And i have been fascinated by the kinds of cards you can make and all the stampin up products out there - so i have been playing with that. That's when i came across the explosion and the pop up cards - all of them had paper flowers - and i thought - we should be able to put some quilled flowers in there - but would it be too heavy? Then i came across
http://quillingideas.blogspot.com/
And here was a pop up card with quilled flowers - PERFECT - Mona Jain you have done an awesome job! Love the detail and colors.
So i attempted something similar.
I got the basic card in a  box base instructions from

Cynthias stampin up card tutorials
Cynthia has the details with the dimensions.
My son's teacher mentioned she loved coral, yellow and green....so i thought those were the spring colors i would go with. And here is the result.
The flowers were basic quilled flowers that i pasted onto thicker green stock as stems.
This is with the card flat - so that you can put it in an envelope
